STEPHANIE
Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am addicted to running. Oh wait, this isn’t Runaholics Anonymous. Anyways, I am Stephanie and I live in Springville with my husband and two little kidlets. I started running after my second child was born to lose those last few pounds. After a few months of what I thought was pure torture I realized that I actually LOVED running. I signed up for my first 5K and was hooked. I have run many 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon races. I have also done 3 marathons and am going to run the Boston Marathon in April. I have also run one Ragnar but that is a story for another time. I am a certified personal trainer but I guess my clients got tired of me trying to get them to run
Just kidding, after a few years of training I got a little burnt out and decided to give my family a break from all of my running babble. I decided that working at a running store would be a great fit for me. Not only can I talk about running all day but I can also use my training knowledge to help others. I have years of running experience, I have been through a terrible injury and I am here for you to cry to if that will help
JOE
Hello, my name is Joe and I love to run! I grew up in Davis County, and currently reside in Pleasant Grove Utah. For the past year, I have been doing elevation training and utilizing vertical climbs to improve my strength and endurance. I love to spend anytime I can ascending up Mt Timpanogos. As winter sets in I’m gearing up for extreme winter training activities. My goals are to improve my ventilatory threshold and endurance by utilizing extreme elevation climbs. On top of hitting the treadmill for my miles, my winter training is going to consist of snow shoeing up the face of Timpanogos, then skiing back down twice a week for the duration of the winter.
Other than training my life consists of enjoying all the time I can with my gorgeous wife. Recently, we celebrated our one year anniversary! My wife trains with me often, and I am so proud of her progress as she strives for excellence.
I hope to be able to give advice, encouragement, and fulfill any needs you may have that will lead you to conquering all your goals. So make sure to ask for Joe… cause its my job to know!
Hey, my name is Taylor. I`m from Pocatello,ID and am currently studying exercise science and competing collegiately in track and field and cross country. I hope to go to chiropractic school in a couple years. I`ve been border-line obsessed with running ever since I joined the jr. high cross country team ten years ago. Since then, I`ve had plenty of ups and downs. I have a lot of experience with big races, intense training, successes… and also injuries, let-downs, etc.(so I want to help you reach the good things and avoid the bad!) My current PR`s are 4:16 for the mile, 8:12 for the 3k, and 14:25 for the 5k. I`m into all the high-tech running gear like GPS watches and of course, running shoes. I love reading running books and research and have experimented with a lot of the different techniques and ideas out there(barefoot/minimalist running, for example). So feel free to come in and ask me questions. I`d love to help in anyway I can!
BROCK
My name is Brock. I started running when I was 2. It was only down and up aisles at the local grocery store but still that’s pretty far for a 2 year old! I am a soccer player, have been since I was 6 or 7, and from this background comes most of my running experience. I ran to train, ran to practice, and ran to play. Soccer is a combination of anaerobic and aerobic efforts used at different points during a match and training for both has been an interesting challenge that has given me some insight that I am happy to share if asked. If I don’t know an answer, then give me a minute and I’ll find it for you. I ran my first 5k last year, branching into pure running finally, and I enjoy trail running on any trail (with the cuts to prove it). That’s enough to be going on with. Happy running!
